Susan Wheatley, MD, FACOG

A native of Columbia, Maryland, Dr. Wheatley has been a resident of Georgia since 1974.  After graduating from Georgia Southern with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Education, she obtained her MD from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.  Dr. Wheatley completed her OB/GYN residency at Atlanta Medical Center (formerly Georgia Baptist).  She is certified by the American Board of OB/GYN and is a Fellow in the American College of OB/GYN.  Because of her strong emphasis is surgery, she is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 

Dr. Wheatley believes strongly in continuing medical education and belongs to the Medical Associations of Georgia and Atlanta, the Georgia and Atlanta OB/GYN Societies, and the American Association of GYN Laparoscopists.  She is dedicated to quality patient care and open dialogue.  Her primary focus is minimally invasive Gyn surgery.  The office’s open-door philosophy welcomes patients and their families to engage in optimum communication.  She is on the active staff at North Fulton Regional Hospital.
